Hi, well I was invited to come and explain about myself and my ride. Well I am a Hoosier (person from Indiana), a guitar player, also a trumpet player, I enjoy working on automobiles, and I like cats.
My Dune-Buggy occupies quiite a lot of my time, because I got a good deal on it and I wanted a fun project. It's parts come from a '73 Beetle Usa. The buggy itself was built in 1984. It has two sets of lights, headers, and a strait stack tailpipe. Photos aren't developed yet, but will be.

Hi. I'm not stupid (I was first in my class every year of school), and I have many pains anyway. I am 22. My car was built in 1984, with a 1973 engine. I got the car third-hand for $500. Please do not make any negative remarks about me, because obviously you don't know me very well. Have a nice day.

Huh? If you are reffering to "It's too bad stupidity isn't painful" - that's my signature - it goes after every post I send...

Nobody is making bad remarks about anybody! Right now, on these forums are the people with the same hobby - Aircooled VWs...

So if you like ACVWs and cars in general, you're on the right place! Take it easy, relax and have some fun!!!

Hi carcat7, welcome! Its always nice to meet VW enthusiasts from all over the world... I saw your first thread, trouble with your engine - I hope nothing serious... So, after you fix that, what are you planning to do next with your buggy?

To Speedy: Oh. I thought you were calling me stupid. That's fine. I am in the right place, aren't I?
To Misha: After I get all of my Buggy's idiosyncrasies taken care of, I plan to get it registered and drive it everywhere. It was last registered in 1998. I want to register it so the police won't stop me for just having a "Driver's Wanted" Liscence Plate (and for speeding). I also have 3 acres of my own land and 7 acres of my neighbor's land to drive all over and throw mud and muck from the tires.

10 acres of land + VW buggy - man, that sounds like fun!

How big is a VW community in Indiana... Do you have a VW club, Off-road club or something like that?

Our community for buggies is pretty small, but I've seen them in driveways and driving down the road. There aren't any clubs, but I get info in online groups, here (since the other day), and at AutoHaus, Merkle (an Audi/VW/Porsche/Isuzu dealer/repair shop run by Germains). Once a year, there is this Huge auto show in Indianapolis called "The World of Wheels", where celebrities, celebrities' cars, and cars from clubs, tuners, and Big Movies. There you can find all sorts of VW's. The only thing is all of them are water-cooled
