What is the best way to remove Bondo when stripping a car. I stripped the paint and found several large areas with thin layers of filler.

Thanks

I used a propane torch to remove all the bondo on my bus. I got this tip from Hot VWs magazine a while back. It works good, just stick to the bondo and don't heat the metal too much.

Jay, How are you stripping the car? Sanding, chemical, or blasting? I just sand the bondo off as I'm sanding the paint off. Sometimes a wire cup brush on a 4 1/2 inch angle grinder gets in the tight areas, like if someone filled a one inch dent. If you just have thin layers, it should sand right off.

I am using aircraft stripper. It works great on the paint. I'm trying to limit the sanding to control the mess in the garage. The body is off the pan so can't move outside to sand.
