I've got a kit car on a 71 bug pan and the 1600 single port isn't enough pep for me. I'd like to put a turbo flat four from a subaru impreza in the kit car, but I don't know of a way to mount the engine to the trans. If someone could tell me if they'll bolt right up or if there's someone I can get in touch with to figure this out that'd be great. I haven't bought the subaru engine just yet so I can't tell you exactly which one I'm gunna go with yet. If anyone has tried something like this before your input would be greatly appreciated.

Even if it doesn't fit exactly (which I couldn't tell since I don't know exactly what engine you're interested in), you could almost always fabricate an adjuster to mount the engine to it. Then you can mount the adjuster itself with the engine to the tranny.

I've seen people do the same thing with VW golf engine. Such adjusters are available on the market too, at least for "popular" engines.

Thank you for your reply I haven't had any time to go to any parts places or vw shops. I'm new in my area so I really have to start looking around for a place that would have what I need. Again thank you for your reply and if there is anyone else out there that has a subaru engine mounted to a vw tranny I'd love to hear from you.
